چکیده

MYB (v-MYB avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog) transcription factor (TF) family has numerous members with complex and diverse functions, which perform an integral role in regulating the plant’s response to adversity. This study used cloning obtain a novel TF gene from diploid strawberry Fragaria vesca, was given designation FvMYB44. Subcellular localization results showed that protein of FvMYB44 nuclear protein. The resistance Arabidopsis thaliana salt low temperature stresses greatly enhanced by overexpression When subjected stress, transgenic plants higher proline chlorophyll concentrations superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT) activities than wild-type (WT) unloaded line (UL) A. thaliana. In contrast, WT UL lines had malondialdehyde (MDA) content reactive oxygen species ROS (O2− H2O2) content. These findings suggest may controlling cold stress.

Overexpression of soybean R2R3-MYB transcription factor, GmMYB12B2, and tolerance to UV radiation and salt stress in transgenic Arabidopsis.

MYB, v-myb avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog, proteins play central roles in plant stress response. Previously, we identified a novel R2R3-MYB transcription factor, GmMYB12B2, which affected the expression levels of some key enzyme genes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis in transgenic Arabidopsis. In the present study, we analyzed the expression levels of GmMYB12B2 under salt, low te...

A Wheat R2R3-type MYB Transcription Factor TaODORANT1 Positively Regulates Drought and Salt Stress Responses in Transgenic Tobacco Plants

MYB transcription factors play important roles in plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress. In this study, TaODORANT1, a R2R3-MYB gene, was cloned from wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). TaODORANT1 was localized in the nucleus and functioned as a transcriptional activator. TaODORANT1 was up-regulated in wheat under PEG6000, NaCl, ABA, and H2O2 treatments. TaODORANT1-overexpressing transgenic tob...

A R2R3-type MYB gene, OsMYB2, is involved in salt, cold, and dehydration tolerance in rice

MYB-type transcription factors play a diverse role in plant development and response to abiotic stress. This study isolated a rice R2R3-type MYB gene, OsMYB2, and functionally characterized its role in tolerance to abiotic stress by generating transgenic rice plants with overexpressing and RNA interference OsMYB2. Expression of OsMYB2 was up-regulated by salt, cold, and dehydration stress. OsMY...

A R2R3 type MYB transcription factor is involved in the cold regulation of CBF genes and in acquired freezing tolerance.

Cold temperatures trigger the expression of the CBF family of transcription factors, which in turn activate many downstream genes that confer freezing tolerance to plants. It has been shown previously that the cold regulation of CBF3 involves an upstream bHLH-type transcription factor, ICE1. ICE1 binds to the Myc recognition sequences in the CBF3 promoter. Apart from Myc recognition sequences, ...

Improved drought and salt tolerance in transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing a NAC transcriptional factor from Arachis hypogaea.

The NAC (NAM, ATAF, and CUC) proteins share a highly conserved NAC domain and constitute a large family of plant-specific transcriptional factors. We have isolated a drought-induced NAC gene from Arachis hypogaea, named AhNAC2 (Arachis hypogaea NAC2) but its specific role remains unknown. In this study, we found that transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing AhNAC2 lines were hypersensitive to ABA ...
